What is SmartPurse all about?

Would you like to get better with your money? We specialise in gender-smart financial literacy and can help you to learn the basics, save for retirement or other life goals, understand investing better, learn the basics of crypto, NFT and metaverse, or find a financial expert or provider you can trust.

We are an independent and straightforward financial wellness platform designed for women, useful for everyone.

How can I use SmartPurse?

You can use our platform in a variety of ways:

  • Enjoy free articles and webinars in our blog section
     
  • Take a digital or instructor-led course
     
  • Learn step-by step with our money school in app and web with over 80+ micro lessons on all things money
     
  • Search and connect to selected experts and providers through the expert finder
     
  • View and make use of our proprietary research in our insights section

How do I know I can trust SmartPurse?

Everything in SmartPurse is created by the women it serves.

All our content is based on years of experience in advising women on their finances (as a team we have more than 40 years of experience in various aspects of finance).

We ask financial experts to review our content, ensuring we’re providing objective and educational information to our users.

Finally we challenge all we produce with women of all ages to ensure it is clear, understandable and actionable.

Besides our content development process, SmartPurse has an independent advisory board that provides strategic guidance on how we develop the platform.

How do I know that SmartPurse will work for me?

Everything in SmartPurse is built from the experience and intelligence of teaching finance to thousands of women of all ages and backgrounds and their questions.

  • Independent: there are no commercial purchase points, and no strings attached
     
  • Practical: we are jargon-free, providing all information in one place and sensible action-based guidance that is interactive and fully transparent
     
  • Fun: imagine the experience of a fitness app with quizzes, rewards and moments of triumph applied on all aspects of money

Can men use SmartPurse?

Our mission is to help close gender money gaps and help women feel financially confident and independent, not to exclude men. We welcome users of all gender identities and gender expressions.

How much does membership cost?

We are offering a monthly and yearly subscription. More information here.

Do you offer refunds?

No, we do not offer refunds. Since some of our content is available immediately after subscribing, we cannot offer refunds. If you’d like to unsubscribe, you can manage this in your account settings once you login. Or unsubscribe from our emails by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of an email.

What if I live outside the UK or Switzerland?

There are currently women using our platform from many different parts of the world. While the content of our courses is applicable to everyone, some content refers specifically to tools and options available in the UK and Switzerland.

Who is behind SmartPurse?

The founders of SmartPurse are Jude Kelly and Olga Miler. Jude Kelly CBE is one of the UK’s leading cultural practitioners, voted the most powerful woman in the Arts. Olga Miler is an award-winning innovation architect and marketing executive. She is a specialist in women and finance, gender-smart investing and sustainable investing.

How can I unsubscribe?

You will find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of all our emails, but you can also update your subscription by logging in or using our online chat service.

What are the payment methods available?

At the moment, we only accept Credit/Debit cards payments.

Do you also do online events?

Yes, we also offer webinars. You can find information about our webinars in our ‘Connect’ section here.

Are there local communities and get-togethers?

Do I need any prior financial knowledge to use SmartPurse?

Absolutely not. Our content is designed for women who have all levels of financial knowledge.

How do you use my personal information?

Please visit our Privacy Policy page to understand more on how we use your information. Primarily it’s to send you updates and articles on SmartPurse events & content. We also use it to enhance your user experience and to operate and maintain your account. We do not share your personal information with third parties.

Do you provide financial advice?

No! We are not certified financial advisors. We only provide guidance but no financial advice in any shape or form. The articles and information available on SmartPurse are for information and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial advice. You need to consult with an independent financial advisor for advice on your specific circumstances or on any other financial matters.
